Passengers

It is the year 2070. Planet Earth has become too small for humanity. People design a huge space ship and travel to a distant planet where they build a Colony.

The ship is enormous. There are thousands of passengers onboard. The space is full of rocks and meteorites. That is why the ship has got a powerful shield in front. The rocks hit the shield but the ship is safe.

But one day a very big meteorite collides with the ship. The shield is not strong enough.

The impact destroys many systems of the ship. The central computer repairs most of them, but still

there are some errors and the ship is not a safe place anymore.

The trip to the Colony is very long. It takes more than 100 years. The passengers and the crew are hibernated. They should be woken up when the ship gets to the Colony. But because of the damage, the system wakes up one of the passengers.

A virtual image of a woman tells Jim to stand up and go to a meeting room.

But the meeting room is empty. The virtual woman greets Jim and the other passengers, but she doesn't know that there is only one person in the room. Jim is the only person who has woken up.

He leaves the room and runs around the ship. He tries to find other people. He finds the room where the captain and his crew are hibernated, but it is locked. He can't open the door.

Eventually he finds a Customer Helpline. One of the options is "SEND AN E-MAIL". But it turns out that his message needs 19 years to reach the Earth and another 36 years to get an answer.
